How to Play Tic-Tac-Toe
Everything you need to know to play and win
Basic Rules
Tic-tac-toe is a two-player game on a 3×3 grid. One plays X, the other O. Players take turns.
Goal: Be the first to line up three of your symbols in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
How to Play
- X always goes first.
- Players alternate turns.
- Game ends with a win or a draw.
Winning Combinations
There are 8 winning lines: 3 horizontal, 3 vertical, and 2 diagonal.
Strategy
Take the center on your first move. Block your opponent. Create forks — double threats.
💡 With perfect play from both sides, the result is always a draw!
Game Modes
- Easy — AI makes many mistakes.
- Medium — AI plays decently.
- Hard — AI never loses (minimax).
- With friend — two players, one device.
